Please join us on Thursday, September 17, 2026, for a buffet lunch and to hear JB Bowling, Executive Associate Athletics Director/Chief NIL Officer at the University of Tennessee, speak on the NIL landscape for athletes.

Bowling was promoted to his current role of Executive Associate Athletics Director/Chief NIL Officer in September of 2025. In addition to overseeing Tennessee's NIL operations, Bowling also serves as the sport administrator for UT's men's and women's tennis programs. He has served as Tennessee’s Associate AD for Football Compliance and Administration, the senior Associate AD for Athletics Compliance at Texas A&M, the Associate AD for Compliance in the Alabama athletic department, oversaw the compliance for the Volunteers' football program, and much more.

Bowling has spent his entire collegiate and professional career in the Southeastern Conference. He received a degree in Political Science from Auburn in 2001 before completing both a master’s degree and juris doctorate degree from Alabama in 2006 and 2004, respectively.

Before moving on to questions from our members, we will have the privilege of hearing from Jennifer Blackwood, CPA and Managing Principal of Tax at PYA P.C. Jennifer has been assisting clients with tax needs since 1997 and has historically served individuals, partnerships, and corporate entities, as well as supported clients on federal and multi-state tax compliance matters. Her experience includes retail, professional services, for-profit healthcare, real estate, and more. We're excited to hear her input on this important topic. 

Please RSVP no later than 12pm on Monday, September 14, keeping in mind that your reservation guarantees your seat and your meal. Guests are welcome to attend with a member at the rate of $50 per guest but must also RSVP. Payments can be made via check or exact cash. Food and socializing starts at 11:30am and the meeting will begin promptly at 12pm.
